The Parish Pastoral Council provides a way for the Pastor to consult with his parishioners and solicit advice on matters pertaining to the pastoral needs of the Parish. This council assists in developing and reviewing the parish mission statement. Specifically, the Pastoral Council is:
“to examine and consider all that relates to pastoral work and to offer practical conclusions of these matters, so that the life and activity of the people of God may be brought into greater conformity with the Gospel.”
The three main tasks of the Pastoral Council are:
to examine, to consider, and to recommend.
After seeking information from the Pastor, the parish staff and the parish-at-large, they assess the information and provide advice to the Pastor regarding ways to fulfill the pastoral needs of the Parish.
PASTORAL COUNCIL TEAM- THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!
The Parish Finance Council is a consultative group that provides advice to the Pastor regarding the parish financial matters. This group assists the Pastor in providing financial information to the parish and makes recommendations for increasing or maintaining revenues as well as controlling and reducing expenditures.
Finance Council Members need to be registered in the parish for at least two years and should be active in the Parish and in good standing with the Church. Skills in the areas of finance, administration or law are helpful; as well as the ability to discuss issues and work well with others in a group setting. This council is appointed by the Pastor and is responsible for assisting him:

My hope for the future of our parish is that my involvement will get others involved in various opportunities offered at Blessed Trinity Parish.

I have always believed that everyone should use their talents for the betterment of their church and community. Serving on the Finance council is important to me because it is one way that I can use the talents that I have been given, and I believe that my background in finance can be used for the betterment of the parish.
I have been a member of St. Albert the Great. I enjoy golfing, cooking and coaching at Special Olympics of Allegheny County. I have been a member since Baptism in one of five different South Pittsburgh Parishes that are now merged into our Blessed Trinity. My wife RuthAnn, and I, soon became involved in extended Parish activities including School Board, Parish Council (President), Finance & Temporalities and numerous social and fundraising events. I continue to grow in Faith with increased participation in Liturgy. The greatest gift in all of this was meeting and working with fellow parishioners and gaining so many acquaintances and good friends. My hope for the future is to be a conduit as our merged Parish of Blessed Trinity continues to move forward with unlimited possibilities at the guidance of the Holy Spirit for our community.
